overnight flight transports you to a country of stunning landscapes, lively
cities, stirring history and a vibrant culture just waiting to be

| Day 2:
Arrive Glasgow, Scotland - Edinburgh |
| Ceud Mile
Failte - One Hundred Thousand Welcomes. Upon arrival in Glasgow you will be
immediately transferred to Edinburgh, where the remainder of your afternoon
is at leisure. Later, meet your fellow travelers at a welcome dinner. (D)

| Day 3:
Edinburgh |
| A tour of
the beautiful city of Edinburgh includes the famous Edinburgh Castle, home
of the Scottish crown jewels, and the Palace of Holyrood House (except when
the Queen is in residence), once the home of Mary, Queen of Scots. Leisure
time is available for shopping on Prince Street. (B) |

| Day 4:
Edinburgh - St. Andrews - Inverness |
| This
morning travel to St. Andrews, the home of golf. See the famous Royal and
Ancient Clubhouse and enjoy some free time to visit the British Golf Museum
or browse through this medieval town with its cathedral and castle. Travel
to Pitlochry, a vibrant Victorian town surrounded by the most resplendent
mountain scenery in Europe. There is time to explore before visiting the
Edradour Whiskey Distillery, the smallest distillery in Scotland, where you
will enjoy a tasting. Continue to Inverness, known as the capital of the
Highlands. (B, D) |

| Day 5:
Inverness - Thurso |
| This
morning you follow the coast road to visit the majestic Dunrobin Castle,
built in 1275. Visit the formal gardens overlooking the North Sea and enjoy
a fascinating falconry display. You will pass Queen Mother's Castle of Mey
before arriving in Thurso. (B, D) |

| Day 6:
Thurso - Orkney Islands - Thurso |
| Enjoy a
full day adventure to the Orkney Islands. Traveling to Gill's Bay, you board
a ferry for the one hour crossing. On the crossing you will see seabirds,
perhaps porpoises and seals, and if you are very lucky, the family of otters
that live in Gill's Bay! Visit the Italian Chapel and Scara Brae, where you
will see the remains of a Neolithic village which was built at the same time
as Cheops Pyramid in Egypt. Next, pass the prehistoric Ring of Brodgar,
reported to be older than Stonehenge. Visit the town of Viking Kirkwall
before boarding the ferry to return to the mainland. (B, D) |

| Day 7:
Thurso - Loch Ness - Ballachulish |
| Today you
enjoy stunning and unspoiled landscapes as you travel back through Inverness
and continue to Loch Ness, one of Britain's most scenic bodies of water. You
will stop at the Visitor's Center to learn of the mystery of the "Loch Ness
Monster." This is followed by a brief stop at Urquhart Castle. Enjoy the
beauty here and keep your eyes open - you never know when Nessy will appear!
Travel through the Great Glens, passing many of the famous lochs. Continue
through Fort William before arriving at lovely Loch Linnhe, an inlet of the
Atlantic Ocean. (B, D) |

| Day 8:
Ballachulish - Isle of Skye - Ballachulish |
| Travel
along the Road to the Isles. Visit the monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie,
who gathered momentum at Glenfinnan and raised the Jacobite standard,
rallying his clansmen for battle. Board a ferry for the half-hour crossing
to the Isle of Skye. Visit the remote Duvegan Castle, the stronghold of
Chiefs of MacLeod for nearly 800 years. Enjoy a view of the Cullins Hills
before arriving in Portree, the tiny island capital, for some leisure time.
You will return to the mainland by bridge. (B, D) |

| Day 9:
Ballachulish - Stirlingshire |
| This
morning visit Glen Coe, a place of majestic mountain grandeur and terrible
deceit and cruelty. At the visitors center you will learn the story of the
massacre of 1692. Travel on to Stirling Castle, first erected 900 years ago,
and formerly used as a royal residence for the House of Stewart where, Mary,
Queen of Scots, was crowned in 1543. This evening, join your fellow
travelers for a special farewell dinner in a 14th century castle. (B, D) |

Stirlingshire - Glasgow |
| This
morning you will travel to Glasgow for your return flight home. (B) |
