Board your transpacific flight.
Day 2 BEIJING, CHINA.
Immediate check-in available.
Beijing, China. Your included tour explores the
GREAT WALL OF CHINA, which once stretched 3,000 miles across China's barren
northern terrain from the Yellow Sea to the Gobi Desert. You'll head north out
of Beijing to a village where the Great Wall is well preserved. Walk along the
wall and enjoy sweeping vistas of this mammoth fortress. You may wish to visit
the Ming Tombs, a burial site for 13 of the 16 Ming emperors. Perhaps you'd like
to visit the Imperial Palace, once the sacred home of China’s Great Emperors, or
stroll through Tian'anmen Square. (B daily)
Day 3 BEIJING.
Meet your local host for a briefing; enjoy sightseeing.
Day 4 BEIJING.
Full day on your own.
Day 5 BEIJING-HONG KONG.
Transfer to the airport for your late morning flight to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong. Take a cable tramcar up to VICTORIA
PEAK for a panoramic view of this one-of-a-kind port city and enjoy a drive to
Repulse Bay, a popular beach. Then on to STANLEY MARKET where narrow streets are
filled with inexpensive clothing and arts and crafts stalls. A reflexology
session can be arranged for those wanting this unique type of foot massage (the
perfect way to rejuvenate after a day of sightseeing or shopping). Learn to cook
dim sum at the home of a local resident. For those interested in sightseeing,
take a trip to the mainland China city of Guangzhou (Canton) or take a tour
focused on Hong Kong’s history before the British colonized the area. You may
wish to sign up for the optional trip to a fishing village and a giant Buddha on
the island of Lantau. Or consider a full-day excursion to Macau. Shopping
remains a major attraction in Hong Kong. Your Globus host can provide helpful
information on where to shop for almost anything. And since there are over 9,000
restaurants in Hong Kong, finding a place to eat should present no problem! (B
daily)
Day 6 HONG KONG.
Meet your local host; enjoy morning sightseeing.
Day 7 HONG KONG.
Full day on your own.
Day 8 HONG KONG-BANGKOK, THAILAND.
Morning transfer for your flight to Bangkok.
Bangkok, Thailand. An optional dinner aboard the
luxurious teak barge Tassaneeya Nava allows you to view the splendid
temples of Bangkok. Your sightseeing tour includes the GRAND PALACE, the seat of
the court of old Siam; and the adjoining royal temple, WAT PHRA KEO, which
houses the 31-inch Emerald Buddha and the RECLINING BUDDHA. Perhaps join a
full-day tour to see the floating markets with a stop at the Rose Garden, or see
the Bridge over the River Kwai. (B daily)
Day 9 BANGKOK.
Morning sightseeing tour.
Day 10 BANGKOK.
Full day on your own.
Day 11 BANGKOK-SINGAPORE.

time. Your included sightseeing tour visits an Indian Hindu temple, Chinatown,
the colonial district, and the NATIONAL ORCHID GARDEN. Visit Singapore's famous
food court, Lau Pa Sat, to sample local favorites. Optional tours such as the
Sentosa Island Excursion or a cooking class will enhance your experience. Learn
about Feng Shui, to achieve harmony with nature or take the Night Safari tour,
which is a favorite. Your Globus host has plenty of other suggestions. (B daily)
