Whitsundays Our tour begins at 5pm.
The Whitsundays at Leisure. Two free days to enjoy the beauty of Long Island. Play tennis, go for a bushwalk, try your hand at the many watersports such as parasailing, tube rides, jet skiing or maybe even learn to water ski. Whitsundays to Capricorn Coast. We continue to Shute Harbor where we board our launch for the short journey to Long Island. On our way, we travel through Mackay, the sugar capital of Australia. We say farewell to those spending the next 3 days at Contiki Resort Great Keppel Island. Hotel (B,D)

Capricorn Coast to Fraser Island. We have the option of visiting the Koorana Crocodile Farm, you can tour the farm and come ‘face-to-face’ with huge estuarine crocodiles. We cross the Tropic of Capricorn to Rockhampton and visit the Dreamtime Aboriginal Cultural Center. Eco Lodge (B)
Fraser Island at Leisure Enjoy the largest sand island in the world! Maybe take a 4-wheel drive bus tour through the rainforests or take a guided bush walk. From Aug-Oct you can cruise out to Hervey Bay to whale watch. Eco Lodge
Farmstay to Fraser Island From here we head up the coast across to Fraser Island. We then make our way to Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Heading down the mountain we’ll visit the Forest Glen Wildlife Sanctuary to see the Kangaroos and Koalas. Tour the farm on an optional horseride before we kick up our heels at tonight’s bushdance. Fraser Island to Surfers Paradise. After we head to the fertile farming country known as the Darling Downs, our first stop today will be Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. We then cross into Queensland and head for Surfers Paradise. Hotel
Surfers Paradise at Leisure. A day to enjoy Australia’s premier holiday destination. Relax on 42km of white sand or for the energetic there’s tandem skydiving or a Harley Davidson ride. Hotel
Surfers Paradise toCoffs Harbour. Today after our departure from Surfers, We’ll stop briefly at trendy Byron Bay where you’ll have time to shop or swim. Continuing north we stop at Australia’s most easterly point - Cape Byron - where you may glimpse migrating whales or dolphins. Then north along the “holiday coast” to our accommodation at Coffs Harbour. Then it’s playtime – a drink, a dip or maybe a stroll along the beach. Resort(B)
Coffs Harbour to Sydney. Before heading across the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, we’ll make a photostop taking in the harbour and Opera House. Our Tour ends at 6:00 pm. |
