Day 3 SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.
Meet your local host and enjoy afternoon sightseeing
Sydney, Australia. Upon arrival in Sydney, meet your local host this
morning for a briefing on your stay in Australia and to assist you with any
special additional sightseeing or activities you may wish to do. Your stay in
Sydney includes a wonderful tour highlighting the best that this magnificent
city has to offer, including a great photo stop where you enjoy a sweeping view
of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. You’ll also see Kings Cross, the city's
nightlife area, and through exclusive suburbs to famous Bondi Beach. See trendy
Paddington, the ultra-modern Darling Harbour development, and the historic Rocks
area. The balance of this day is free, followed by two full days at leisure for
your own exploration. You may wish to take a ferry to Manly and go swimming at
the beach. If its wildlife you want to see, then Taronga Zoo is the perfect
place for you. Here you can view kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingoes and more.
Perhaps you’d like to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Full-day excursions
available to the national capital, Canberra, or the World Heritage listed Blue
Mountains, or you can learn of Australia’s famous wine making industry in the
Hunter Valley. (B Adaily).
Day 4 - 5 SYDNEY.
Two full days at leisure.
Day 6 SYDNEY-CAIRNS.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns. The remainder of the day is
free.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier
Reef. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy your hotel’s facilities, or you
may wish to join a trip to Kuranda via the new Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. For
the return journey, you may choose to go via the old scenic rail route. See
magnificent scenery, lush rain forests, and twisting waterfalls from the comfort
of a restored, historic mountain train. Your stay in Cairns includes a half day
excursion to Green Island by fast catamaran, one of many beautiful tropical
islands on the Great Barrier Reef. Here you can choose to snorkel or take the
glass bottom boat to view the coral and array of fish, or join a naturalist for
a guided walk through the island’s cool rainforest. For the remainder of your
stay, you may want to start the morning with a Hot Air Balloon ride over the
tropics, or join an optional tour to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park—a
fascinating portrayal of Aboriginal culture, dance, and folklore. For a fun way
to spend the evening, join the optional outing to the home of a local Aussie
family for a delicious meal, accompanied by Australian beer and wine. (B daily)

Cruise to the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 8 CAIRNS.
Full day at leisure.
Day 9 CAIRNS-MELBOURNE.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Melbourne. The remainder of the day
is free.

flight to Melbourne, Australia’s second largest city. Your stay includes a city
tour to introduce you to this beautiful garden city. Travel along Collins
Street, the ultimate shopping strip and business center, viewing fine examples
of Melbourne’s architectural splendor, including opulent St. Paul’s Cathedral,
Princess and Regent Theaters, Melbourne Town Hall, and the new Federation
Square. You’ll stroll through the BOTANICAL GARDENS and explore CAPTAIN COOK’S
COTTAGE. Also see the world renowned sporting arenas include the MCG and Rod
Laver Arena, home of the Australian Tennis Open. During your stay, why not enjoy
a visit to the Penguin Parade, or the magnificent full day Great Ocean Road
adventure.
Day 10 MELBOURNE.
City Sightseeing.
Day 11 MELBOURNE.
Full day on your own.
Day 12 MELBOURNE-LOS ANGELES.
